My grandmothers bible has both names in it...one written on the top of the other (same with the year of her birth). My mom told me that my grandmother never liked the name Julia, so she decided to use Jane instead. I don't think it was ever legally changed. She always signed everything Hutoka J. Parmenter. I think there might be a delayed birth record out there for her with the name Jane,
but that isn't the name she had growing up."."
